Despite its recently trendy, superfood status, seaweed has been used all over the world for thousands of years. There are thought to be over 10,000 species of seaweed, reflecting its immense diversity, both in flavor and nutritional properties. Still, there is very much to learn about Sea farming and its potential. As abundant and healthy as seaweed is, it still has not found its way onto the mainstream western menu...but that may have to change soon.
